Winner of the USA and World champions in the hurdle event, Lolo Jones has reached her current standing after lots of effort and immense amount of patience. Jones was born to a motherless family and had five children living in conditions of hardship and poverty as a youngster, experienced an exceptionally difficult early life. She lived with her mother in the cellar of a local church. Jones was a nomad, which forced her to change schools each year, until she reached the age of high school. Jones moved away from her mom to Theodore Roosevelt so that she to pursue her passion for track. Jones was part of four families during her time at high school to study all in the same place. Jones was awarded her the Gatorade Iowa Track and Field Athlete of the Year award while at school. She was in the school orchestra, as cellist. Jones, when she went to college, was considered one of the most skilled hurdlers. In 2002, at the NCAA Track & Field Championship, she won the 100-meter race. Also, she was in the team that finished first in the 100-meter Relay. In 2003 and in 2004, Jones took home the indoor hurdles event during the NCAA Championship. Jones started her track and field career after she completed her college studies. She won two events, in the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track competitions in that same season.
Raised within Cape Town South Africa Brandt moved with her family to Auckland New Zealand in her teenage years. Brandt was spotted by local casting agents, got the lead role as Naevia in the Starz blockbuster Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. She was one of the stars who made an impact on this series, working alongside Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi. Mazikeen was a fan-favorite character from comic books and Vertigo/DC's Lucifer was her character on this acclaimed Netflix show. Forbes named Lucifer the show that was most watched of 2021. Brandt is set to next be seen alongside Andrew Lincoln, Danai Guarira and the other Walking Dead cast members in the series of six episodes Walking Dead spinoff that airs in 2020. In the July 2023 Netflix adult animated series Captain Fall, Brandt stars opposite Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan Chris Meloni. Lesley-Ann Brandt was born the 2nd of December, 1981 in Cape Town South Africa. She's a very talented New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt and her family made the move to Auckland, New Zealand in the year 1999. After some time being employed in the retail industry, she was promoted to an IT consultant. After modeling a couple of times, Lesley appeared in countless commercials. She earned her degree with a specialization in acting in 2008. She graduated in 2009. continued her education using the Meisner method of study. Lesley's first significant acting role was in the New Zealand TV show Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt made a guest performance on New Zealand's Drama Shortland Street acting as supporting actor. Then she starred in This Is Not My Life, which was based on the fictional city of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt played Naevia in the television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. In the following seasons, she played Naevia's character in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
